I was behind a driver who speeded up at a roundabout and made the person coming the other way – and turning, with indicator on – stop (indignant reaction from this person). Half a minute later the driver I was following crossed a single white line overtaking a bus picking up passengers.

There is a saying which comes from the world of Yoga: “The way you do a part is the way you do a whole.”

I have my doubts about the phrase because it seems to justify our labelling people on the strength of one action (“Look at that idiot.”) and the next thing they do confirms our label.

Unfortunately in this case it seems to be true.
